The "Us" Factor

start upCollaboration can only happen if there is trust. Trust only comes about when people know where the other person “is coming from,” how the other thinks, how he or she approaches particular situations.

Conflict springs up when people assume things about each other, question the other’s motives, and use unflattering adjectives to describe the other person.

So how do you cut through the conflict to get to collaboration? You start with understanding and learning to adapt to different behavioral styles.

The Tolle Group is proud to partner with Inscape Publishing and its DiSC® model of behavioral styles to offer our X-Team Communications workshop and process.

sample pdfThis workshop focuses on breaking down the barriers to building trust and collaboration among cross-functional teams. Participants learn the characteristics, thinking, and communication approaches of the four behavioral styles (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Conscientiousness) and the “dialect” to use for each style to build trust and collaboration.

Each participant receives a customized, 13-page DiSC Personal Profile (download sample report) that provides them with valuable information about his or her preferred way of working and communicating. This tool provides participants with insights into their own approach to getting the job done as well as insights into different workstyles.

Cross-functional teams and individual team members build the awareness and skills needed to work collaboratively and efficiently to get the job done through a variety of learning modalities and exercises. Every team and participant walks away with a customized strategy and action plan on how best to improve the working relationships with team members and colleagues, based on feedback from those individuals.
